Dash Top
The padded dash top that came with the project was in a bit of a mess. But I glued it, filled in some holes, sprayed it black and using copious amounts of vinyl cleaner had got it to a point where it looked okay.

This was right in the driver’s eyeline. I tried to convince myself it wasn’t too noticeable (new pads are expensive). Ultimately, however, I knew it would annoy me.
The dash pads are held in place by both the windscreen and the metal dash so the time to bite the bullet was pre installation rather than after the event.
Before digging into my wallet, I decided to have a go at recovering it. I had the vinyl as I’d bought some with this in mind and had already recovered one of the crash pads that sit under the dash.

I trimmed up the old vinyl, cut a new piece, reached for the glue and took a deep breath.....
I’m pretty pleased with the end result
