The car went to the painters nine months ago....
In fairness, I have been in no great rush as there’s no shortage of things to refurbish off the car (in fact, I ran out of time as I’d only just started the hood frame and have put it to one side again). Also, whereas I had intended to put the body and panels back on the car at home, it rapidly became clear it made more sense to do that at the paintshop to avoid the inevitable damage.
In any case, it was a big day to go get it and bring it home.
So big I painted the garage floor specially!

The car is signal red. In addition to the red, there are bits of the car that are black: the rear, the sills and inside the front grill. I’ve become adept at noticing the restored cars that miss one of these three.
